Amalfi Coast Excursions

Here are some ideas how to spend special days in Sorrento and around.

From the holiday house “Le Due Sirene” you can easily reach the most famous place in the golf of the Naples and of the Amalfi Coast.

Capri

To reach Capri, the Blu Island, takes 20 minutes by ferry from Sorrento sea port. To reach Sorrento from the residence “Le Due Sirene” is very easy. The bus stop is just in front the residence’s door and the autobus are very frequent.

From the Sorrento main square (Piazza Tasso) you have just to walk down the street and you can find the port. From there you can catch one of the frequent ferry whitch connect Sorrento with Capri.

But if you want to spend a very special day we can help you to arrange a boat charter from Sorrento to Capri.

Pompei

To reach Pompei from Sorrento is very easy. From the residence Le Due Sirene the autobus for Sorrento are very frequent. From the Sorrento train station you have just to catch the train and stop at Pompei-Villa dei Misteri.

The trains leave every 20 minutes from 5 a.m to 11.30 p.m.
It takes about 30 minutes and the entrance is just in front of the station
The  full tickets cost 11 euro. The entrance is for free for all European citizen under 18 and over 65.

November - March, every day from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(last admission 3.30 p.m.)
April - October, every day from 8.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
(last admission 6 p.m.)

Positano, Amalfi, Ravello

Positano is only 7 km far from the residence Le Due Sirene. The autobus stop for Positano, Amalfi and Ravello is just outside the residence’s door. The trip takes 20 minutes for Positano and 40 minutes for Amalfi. It’s possible also to reach Positano and Amalfi with the Citysightseeing Hop-on Hop-off. Also in this case the bus stop is just outside the door.
